According to Google Chrome browser page, the present Chrome version is said. To support Mac OS X 10.9.5 to present 10.11.5. Chrome Browser - Google. However, the issues and problems that Chrome continues to show Mac users, indicate that it is not a wise choice for Macs. Users have found Chrome to be. A resource hog, that affects all OS X performance. I deleted everything related to Chrome on my Mac (the app, the cache folders, the Library folders), rebooted, and reinstalled from a newly downloaded copy. Same thing - automatically quits. Deleted everything, restarted, tried the latest Chrome Dev.

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 1095) AppleWebKit/600.1.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.1 Safari/537.85.10 Steps to reproduce the problem: Chrome is very slow on my mac. I have barely 10 tabs open, but it is using up all the CPU, is very slow, and is keeping the fans on all the time.
What is the expected behavior? What went wrong?
Used to be fast, now very slow. Did this work before? Yes It has been degrading steadily. Chrome version: 38.0.2125.122 Channel: n/a OS Version: OS X 10.9.5 Flash Version. Processing I had this issue on my Mac Pro - I took several steps to improve Chrome's performance. First I reset the Mac's PRAM (command option +R+P at startup). Additionally reset the user cache by using Safe Startup (mode) (Shift at startup) logon restart.

This puts the Mac into a known state - already Chrome's performance had improved but not sufficiently. I took the extra step of Clearing Browser data from Chrome / Settings. Advanced Now this point I chose from the beginning of time - since there was no option to remove data from prior to today / this week etc.
So for developers could they include the reverse of what is offered currently? TIA That restored my faith in Chrome as a usable application - I was seriously considering changing to Safari (hmm!).
